Point here being: 99.9% of private businesses don't piss and moan about helping the poor out of one side of their mouths, while ducking under tax shelters out of the other side. To mix metaphors just a bit. :) And, no, I don't see the situation in black & white; there are dishonest businesses (and businesspeople), as in every group. Most businesspeople are honest and law-abiding, as are most folklore people in general. Perhaps you might consider folklore the problems businesses face (especially small ones; the folklore majority) if you looked at how severely they are taxed. They get royally screwed every year, compared to individuals.
