Does 25% of a given population being over the average weight seem pretty unusual to anyone else on this list? I mean, I'd take this to mean that pets probably aren't being fed enough and/or getting enough exercise. About 50% of a population should be (strictly speaking) overweight if the average weight is correctly calculated for a fairly evenly distributed trait like height or weight. That's what average *means* when we're talking about bell curve phenomena.
