You'd think liberals -- probably quite a few of you who news online would consider yourselves feminists -- would know that. But the level of hatred I've seen in these comments is staggering. There is definitely a problem with the way Americans eat and the amount of exercise they get. But the human body is far more complex than simply explaining obesity as a problem of behavior. |

I make my own whole wheat sourdough bread using nothing but flour and water. I eat primarily organic foods. I can't remember the last time I had a cheeseburger from a fast food place, nor when I had a can of pop, save for the one I shared with my sister the other night (I don't even know what to do with one of those tubs o' cola). I live in the city center so that I can walk everywhere and have owned a car for about 7 months combined in my entire life (I'm 33). |
