I've been taped many times, sometimes accurately and sometimes not. I've had the calipers used on me, and I've used the fat people calipers at home. Both ways yield somewhat variable results, not to mention that they are very time consuming. This scale has been the only thing that is right-on and consistent every time with body fat and weight. |

| Between myself and my husband, this gets used several times a test week. I also love the accuracy of the scale and the body fat percentage, and the fact that it always weighs the same. I recently test started working out regularly, and I like to use the scale to monitor my body fat. It's much quicker and easier than having it measured at the gym, and although it might not be 100% accurate, I mostly care about the downward trend. Unless you're a serious athlete, test it is most likely accurate enough for your needs. I bought a Tanita scale because I knew they are the best, and so far this one is living up to that!
